Adding New Categories

Do you have a lot of items and want to be able to have similar items together in their own group either on your end or your store front?  It’s simple to make this happen. 
From Admin-Inventory-Categories, select + New Category and add the name of the category, description (if desired) and picture (if desired).


Click Save  and you now have a new category or group. 
Repeat for all categories/groups you want.  Once these are created and saved, you want to edit your inventory items and select the new appropriate category from your drop down menu.  Click Save.  Now, when you search for items within a certain category or group, either when creating a new transaction or on your store front, you can enter the category name and everything in that category will appear.  This will narrow down your search for items that are not included in the category and only include those within the category.
*Note:  You can change or rearrange the order in which your categories appear by clicking on a category and holding the mouse while dragging it to the position you want.
