Do you have inventory items that you don't always have enough of and re-rent from another company/vendor?  What about those items that you don't keep on hand and re-rent from another company/vendor?  Let us show you how you can manage this and keep up with actual re-rents.

NOTE:  When you have a serialized item that you want to subrent, the subrent feature adds an unserialized copy of this item to the transaction.

When you overbook an item, you will still receive the overbooked warning.  You will now have the option to subrent the item if that transaction is a reservation or greater.  Once the quote has been converted to a Reservation, click the Overbooked warning symbol next to the item that is overbooked and click the Subrent button.

Once you select the Subrent button, you will now have fields to complete entering more information on the item.  You will be able to enter vendor information and the name they call the item.  You will see the dates the is needed and the quantity you're short are auto-populated for you.

We recommend entering the subrental start date at least a day or two before the rental start date and the subrental due date a day or two after the rental due date.  This will give you time to get the subrented item to you in time for the rental.  This also gives you time to get the rental back to the vendor after the rental is complete.

Once Save is clicked, you will see the subrented item on the transaction overview with the details.

Don't worry.  The customer won't know you subrented the inventory item as the subrental information does not appear on the contract when printed or emailed.
